Vestry Meeting Minutes

Ilmer Parish 1928: The combined Easter Vestry meeting & meeting of Parochial Electors was after due notice held in the Parish Room on Thursday April 12th at 7 p.m. owing to the very wet evening attendance even smaller than usual. The vicar in the chair, Mr S.G. Boswell & Mr Fritz Kingham church wardens & Mrs S.G. Boswell.

The minutes of last meeting were read & approved. The vicar nominated Mr S.G. Boswell as his warden for the ensuing year. Mr Fritz Kingham intimated that he desired to be relieved of office. He was cordially thanked for his past services on the motion of Mr S.G. Boswell. The vicar expressed his personal thanks for the very considerable help Mr Kingham had given him & previous vicars. No nomination was made for the vacant post of Parish Warden.

The vicar said that at the meeting...

...of Parochial Electors Mr Jaques, Miss Gambell & Mr Boswell had been appointed members of the Ruri-decanal Conference. Mr Boswell had also been appointed representative of the united Parish on the R.D. Board of Missions. As in former years all adult Communicants were elected members of the Parochial Church Council. Mr Boswell agreed to act as Secretary.
