Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 24th May 1965.
LONGWICK. CUM. ILMER PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD LONGWICK VILLAGE HALL MONDAY 24TH MAY 1965 at 7.30 p.m.
Present. Cllrs Harper, Leuw, Tapping, Gomme, Walker. Mrs Brock. and Miss Wootton. Mins. Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed Election of Officers Proposed Cllr Walker seconded Cllr Gomme that Cllr Harper be re elected chairman Carried Unan. Proposed Cllr Harper seconded Cllr Leuw that Cllr Brock be re elected Vice Chairman Carried Unan.
Matters Arising Cllr Tapping reported that the rubbish in the Green lane at Owlswick had been cleared but said "Now some one has dumped an old car down there". Cllr Walker proposed seconded Cllr Tapping that the council should be asked what was to be done on this matter as the dumping of cars would be a problem in the future.
Fence around ejector station at Meadle Cllr Walker would like to suggest to the council that a similar fence to the one being erected around the pumping station site at Longwick should be put round the pumping station site at Meadle, also information as to the height of the fence and if the site was to be completely fenced in. The clerk reported that the District Valuers report had been forwarded to the Ministry.
Blind Corners at Ilmer. Cllr Leuw asked for the corner opposite the old Vicarage to be cut back as there had been several near accidents. Cllr Harper also requested that broken sign posts should be reported to Mr Nobbs.
Finance Proposed Cllr Gomme seconded Cllr Brock that £3 . 14 . 2 annual subscription be paid to Assc Parish Councils. Carried
