Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 31st Mar 1965.

LONGWICK. CUM. ILMER PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD LONGWICK VILLAGE HALL WEDNESDAY 31ST MARCH 1965. at 7.50 p.m.

Present. Cllr Walker, Leuw, Tapping, in the chair Cllr Brock. Mins Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Absent. Apologies from Cllr Wootton heavy cold and Cllr Gomme Cllr Harper regrettable ill.

No 80 Bus. The meeting was informed that the No 80 Bus now left Aylesbury at 1.25 p.m. instead of 1.30p.m. therefore arriving in Risborough in time to connect with the No 20 Bus at 2.0 p.m. to Wycombe.

Meadle Pond Cllr Walker requested that the Wycombe R.D.C. should be asked not to put a chain link fence round the ejector station to be built on the site, a meeting was suggested to take place at the site with the Engineer &

surveyor to agree on a suitable fence, also Cllr Brock asked if the number of old bricks and tiles needed to erect the pumping station could be quoted as Mr Phillips of Meadle could then go ahead and obtain them.

Press Report.* Cllr Brock requested that the press to be informed of the parish councils activities.

Water Shortage. A letter from the Bucks Water Board to use water sparingly was read, as the lack of rainfall during the winter had been small.

Rubbish in Green Lane Owlswick. Cllr Tapping requested a letter to the clerk of Wycombe R.D.C. as to the amount of rubbish deposited in the lane at Owlswick.

Winston Churchill Appeal A letter re the Winston Churchill appeal fund was read by the clerk, the Women's institute had done a collection.

Finance The following accounts were settled clerks salary Aug-March £8 - - together with 8/11 Postage and 15/- for Municipal Ins. total £8 - 18 - 11. and £2 - 5 . 0 for 5 meetings @ 9/- a meeting for the Village Hall

District Valuers Report. * A letter from the District Valuer suggested the sum of £10 for the ejector station site at Meadle with the Wycombe R.D.C. paying legal costs.
