Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 23rd Nov 1964.

LONGWICK. CUM. ILMER PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD LONGWICK VILLAGE HALL MONDAY 23RD NOVEMBER 1964. at 7.30 p.m.

Present. Cllrs Harper, Leuw, Gomme, Tapping, Mrs Brock, Miss Wootton. Absent Apologies for Cllr Walker. Mins Mins of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

Matters Arising The ploughing up of footpath No 3. by Mr Macintosh despite another protest from the County Surveyor was discussed, it was decided to let the matter slide until the spring meeting. A letter from the clerk of the council stated that the bus service No 80 would not now be with drawn, but would continue to operate on an experimental basis, depending on the patronage it receives.

Speed limit Signs. Although an order to impose a 40 m.p.h. speed limit through the village had been passed the signs for such had still not been put up The clerk was asked to write to Mr Nobbs.

Cesspool smell at Ilmer. Cllr Leuw remarked on a high smell from overflowing cesspools at Ilmer a letter to Mr Daniels was asked for.

Main Drainage A letter stating that Mr Hazeltine did not wish to sell his land for an ejector station was read, owing to complicated formalities which would undoubtedly mean a long delay it was proposed Cllr Gomme seconded Cllr Leuw that the Wycombe R.D.C. should place a compulsory order on the land, instead of selling Meadle Pond as the alternative.

Application to Buy Meadle Pond. An application to buy Meadle pond from the parish council was refused, to Mr Butler of Meadle Cottage, Meadle.
