LONGWICK-CUM-ILMER PARISH COUNCIL Meeting held Longwick Village Hall Monday 28th Oct 63 at 7.30 p.m.

Present. Cllr Harper, Leuw, Gomme, Tapping, Walker Mrs Brock & Miss Wootton.

Mins. Minutes of the last meeting read and confirmed.

Matters Arising / Speed Limit The meeting was informed that the county Highways committee had decided that a 30 p.m.h speed limit was not justified however they decided to make an order for a 40 p.m.h speed limit to be submitted to Ministry of Transport for approval.

Sub Post Office The clerk read a letter of application from the sub postmaster of Longwick for permission to close the office on Saturdays and to keep open on Wednesdays. permission was granted.

Maggot Factory at Bledlow. The meeting was informed that a letter of protest had been sent by Longwick Parish Council to the Inquiry into an appeal by Mr Murgett to breed and dispatch maggots for the fishing industry at Bledlow.

Trees Round Meadle Pond More complaints about the trees round Meadle Pond Cllr Walker suggested the trees should be completely removed all were in favour and that Mr George Harper should be paid £3 to do the job.

Sewer Following several complaints about over flowing cesspools Cllr Walker

proposed seconded Cllr Gomme that inquiries should be made to Wycombe on the subject of having the sewer at Longwick Cllr Brock added that Meadle was only a short distance from the sewer at Monks Risborough and wondered if they could be connected.

Finance Clerks Salary April to Nov. £8 - - together with 5/9 postage Audit Stamps for 62/63 5/0 and 10/- Municipal Ins. Hire of Village Hall 3 meetings at 9/- £1 - 7 - 0. £3 - 0 - 0 to Mr George Harper to remove trees from around Meadle Pond.
