Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 8th Jul 1963.

LONGWICK. CUM. ILMER PARISH COUNCIL Meeting held Village Hall Longwick Monday 8th July 63 at 7.0 p.m.

Present. Cllr Harper, Leuw, Gomme, Tapping, Walker, Mrs Brock, Miss Wootton.

Mins Minutes of the last meeting read and confirmed

Matters Arising The clerk informed the meeting that the sign in Lower Icknield had been lowered to suit Mr Hannons request.

Street Lighting A letter of proposal from Wycombe R.D.C. that they should become the lighting authority for the whole of the Wycombe R.D.C. was read by the clerk. After discussion on the matter it was proposed by Cllr Walker seconded Cllr Brock the clerk write a letter saying that our council were not in favour of the proposal.

Blocked Drain at Ilmer. Cllr Leuw said the drain under the drive of Mr Attenborough's place was blocked so causing water to run all over the road. the clerk was instructed to write to Mr Nobbs to see if it was the councils problem or Mr Attenborough's.

Owlswick Lane Obstruction. Cllr Brock & Cllr Tapping complained of a family of scrap iron merchants taking up residence in the lane from Owlswick to Ilmer, causing considerable trouble to local farmers restricting movement of cattle etc. A letter to Risborough Police was suggested.
