LONGWICK-CUM-ILMER PARISH COUNCIL Meeting held in Schoolroom Longwick Monday 22nd Jan 1962

Present Councillors W Harper, J Walker, Mrs D Brock, F. Gomme, O. Tappin and Mrs E Wootton

Mins The minutes of the last meeting were read, and the decision then taken regarding the Parish Pond at Meadle was confirmed provided the strand of wire was removed, and no attempt was made to enclose the pond.

Election of Councillor It was proposed by Cllr Mrs Brock and seconded by Cllr Gomme that Mrs E Wootton of Longwick be elected to fill the vacancy due to the resignation of Mr D Claydon Carried

Resignation of Clerk The chairman read a letter of resignation from the clerk Mr J Chivers to take effect from 31st March 62. It was proposed by Cllr Walker and seconded by Cllr Brock that this resignation be accepted with regret. Carried

Road work. Cllr Mrs Brock expressed satisfaction with road improvements carried out in Meadle by Bucks C.C.

Finance The payment of the following accounts was approved by the Council, Clerks Salary for Oct, Nov, Dec 1961. £3-0-0 and 3/3 postage
