Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 23rd Jan 1952.
Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council held in the Schoolroom, Longwick on Wednesday January 23rd 1952 at 7 p.m. To read and confirm the minutes of the last meeting. To appoint delegates to represent the Parish at the quarterly general meetings of the Wycombe R.D. Association of Parish Councils. Payment of Accounts. Any other business. Present: Councillors W. J. Harper (Chairman), A Ancliffe D. Claydon, A. J. Goodchild, F. Williams & the Clerk.
Minutes The minutes of the last meeting were read & confirmed. Arising from the minutes the Clerk informed the Council that the map and records of the footpath Survey had been received and acknowledged by the County Surveyor.
Delegates to the Association of Parish Councils It was proposed Councillor Goodchild seconded Councillor Ancliffe that the Chairman be appointed as one delegate, and it was proposed further Councillor Goodchild and seconded by the Chairman that Councillor Ancliffe be appointed as the other delegate. These propositions were carried.
Payment of Accounts It was proposed Councillor Ancliffe and seconded Councillor Williams that the following accounts be passed for payment 1) Clerks Salary to 24.12.51. £4. 2) Yearly subscription to Commons, Open Spaces, and Footpaths Preservation Society. 10/6.
Other business. The Clerk was instructed to write to
the County Surveyor regarding a white line and warning reflectors at the Meadle turn on the Lower Icknield Way, and also regarding the position of the Halt notices at the Sportsman's Garage corner. The Clerk asked the Council to accept his resignation as from March 31st on account of family affairs which were causing him to leave the district. It was proposed Councillor F. Williams seconded Councillor D. Claydon and carried that the Clerk's resignation be accepted. The next meeting was fixed for February 21st 1952 W. J Harper Feb 21/52
