Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 9th Aug 1951.

Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council held in the Schoolroom, Longwick on Thursday August 9th at 7.30 p.m. To read & confirm the minutes of the last meeting. Survey of Parish footpaths. Payment of Accounts. Any other business. Present. Councillors W. J. Harper (Chairman), A. Ancliffe D. Claydon E. J. Girling A. J. Goodchild. Mrs D. M. Walker F. Williams & the Clerk.

Minutes The last minutes were read & confirmed. Arising from the minutes the Clerk informed Councillor Ancliffe that he had raised the question of refuse collection at a recent R.D.C. meeting and that the R.D.C. had now appointed a Sub-committee to enquire into this question.

Survey of Parish Footpaths. The Chairman gave the Council a full report of the proceedings of the Sub-committee held at Green Acres on June 7th, and also a report on the subsequent survey of the footpaths made by him & Councillor Claydon. The Clerk announced that the map had now been completed and that this & the reports would be in the hands of the County Council by the end of the month of August.

Payment of Accounts It was proposed Councillor Mrs Walker seconded Councillor Williams and carried that the following accounts be paid: The Clerk one quarters salary to 24.6.51. £2. Employers' Liability per the Ocean Corporation Ltd 5/s, The Clerk's Bond per. Logonia 3/s.

Other business The Council had a discussion on the future of the Longwick C. of E. School, and Councillor Mrs Walker & the Clerk informed the Council that as far as could be ascertained, the new position of the School was quite satisfactory. W. J Harper Jan 23 1952
