Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council held in the Schoolroom Longwick on Friday March 24th 1950 at 7.15 p.m. To read and confirm the minutes of the last meeting. Replies to Correspondence. Correspondence received. Letter to Thames Valley Traction Co. Ltd re various matters. Payment of Accounts. Date of the Annual Parish Council Meeting. Present. Councillors. W. J. Harper. A Ancliffe A. J. Goodchild. F Williams Mrs D. M. Walker and the Clerk.
Apology. An apology for Absence was received from Councillor D. Claydon.
Minutes The Minutes of the last meeting were read and Confirmed. Arising from the minutes the Clerk gave an account of the meeting of the Wycombe District Association of Parish Councils.
Replies to Correspondence. Bend on West Side Anderdon Farm The Clerk read a letter from the Divisional Surveyor of 2nd March 1950 agreeing to erect reflector posts at the bend on the Princes Risboro - Thame Road A4129 on the West Side of Anderdon Farm.
Correspondence received Letter re National Parks & Access to the Countryside Act 1949 The Clerk read a letter from the Clerk of the Bucks County Council re National Parks & Access to the Countryside Act 1949 in which he stated that the exact procedure to be adopted under this Act would be discussed at the next meeting of the County Council Highways Committee after which he would write again.
and inform Parish Councils as to what steps it was proposed to take.
Letter to Thames Valley Traction Co Ltd. It was proposed Councillor Mrs D. M. Walker and seconded Councillor F. Williams that a letter be sent to the Thames Valley Traction Co Ltd. by the Clerk, asking why nothing further had been heard about the proposed extension of the Bus route to Ilmer turn, and also raising the point of the present unsatisfactory system of return fares.
Payment of Accounts. It was proposed Councillor Ancliffe and seconded Councillor Mrs D. M. Walker that the following accounts be passed for payment, the Correspondent of the Longwick C of E. Schools £ - : 10 : - for a years rent of the School for meetings: E. L. C. Galloway, Quarters Salary as Clerk & postages to 24.3.50 £2 : 4 : 6.
