Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council held in the Schoolroom, Longwick on Tuesday March 29th 1949. at 7.45 pm. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. To appoint a Trustee to Monks Risborough Parochial Charities. Consideration of dangerous ditch, Ilmer. Consideration of replacement of Road Sign at Bar Lane. Payment of accounts. appointment of E. J. Girling as a Trustee to M. R. Parochial Charities Proposed by Councillor D. M Walker seconded by Councillor H. W Lewis, that Mr. E. J. Girling be re-appointed a Trustee to Monks Risborough Parochial Charities (his previous term of office having expired).
Dangerous ditch at Ilmer The Clerk was asked to communicate with the Divisional Highways Surveyor, drawing his attention to a dangerous ditch at Ilmer, and to ask [inserted: that] steps be taken to pipe the section of the ditch from a point near the Village Hall, to connect up with the existing drain near the Cottages, a distance of about 15 yds, also to ask if he would arrange
Direction Sign. Bar Lane for a Direction Sign to be erected at the east end of Bar Lane, Longwick indicating the direction of Longwick, Monks Risborough. Owlswick & Ford.
Proposed by Councillor Lewis seconded by Councillor Claydon that Cheques be drawn in payment of the following accounts:- Correspondent Longwick C of E. School for use of Room for meetings (One year) 10/-d. Robert Bailey, One Quarters Salary as Clerk to 25/3/49 £1/5/- Postages One year 9/9d Total Cheque to Robert Bailey £1/14/9d Carried W.
