Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council held in the Schoolroom, Longwick on Monday June 28th 1948 at 8 pm. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. Replies to Correspondence. Payment of accounts. Consideration of placing names of the fallen 1939-45 War on War Memorial at Longwick. Present. Councillors W. J. Harper (Chairman). D. M. Walker. D. Claydon. F. Williams and Robert Bailey. Clerk.

Minutes The Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

Encroachment on road side verge. Ilmer The Divisional Road Surveyor wrote informing the Council, that the barbed wire fence outside Claridges Farm, had now been removed from the Highway verge, where it was considered an encroachment and re-erected behind the ditch.

Payment of account. Proposed by Councillor D. M Walker seconded by Councillor D. Claydon that a Cheque be drawn in favour of Robert Bailey for One Quarters Salary as Clerk to 24th June 1948. £1/5/-. Carried

Names on War Memorial Proposed by Councillor Walker seconded by Councillor Williams that the Clerk obtain a price from the Excelsior Monumental Works Aylesbury for placing the names of the fallen in the 1939-45 War on the War Memorial at Longwick. Carried

Meeting re Association of Parish Councils A Report was given by Councillors D. M. Walker and W. J.

Harper re meeting of the Wycombe Association of Parish Councils held at the Wycombe R.D. Council Offices on 26th May 1948.

Annual Subscription to County of Buckingham Assoc. of P. C's to remain over It was decided that the question of paying an Annual Subscription to the County of Buckingham Association of Parish Councils remain over until the next meeting. W J Harper Sept 27: 48
