Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 31st Mar 1948.

Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council, held in the Schoolroom, Longwick on Wednesday March 31st 1948 at 8.15 pm. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. Replies to Correspondence. Payment of accounts. Present:- Councillors Wm J. Harper (Chairman) Albert James Goodchild. Herbert Wm Lewis David Claydon Fred Williams Dora M Walker and the Clerk.

Minutes The Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

Bend in road at Longwick The Divisional Highways Surveyor wrote informing the Parish Council that the "Bend Sign" had now been erected and a white line painted round the bend of the road near the Red Lion Public House at Longwick.

Illumination of Telephone Kiosk The Telephone Manager wrote acknowledging the Councils letter re illumination of Telephone Kiosk at Longwick stating the matter was receiving attention.

Payment of accounts Proposed by Councillor Walker seconded by Councillor Goodchild that Cheques be drawn in payment of the following accounts:- Robert Bailey. Quarters Salary as Clerk to 25/3/48 £1-5-0 Postages. (One year) 11/7d Total Cheque £1/16/7d Correspondent Longwick C of E School Hire of School room for meetings (One year) 10/-d Carried W J Harper 26/4/48
