Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 29th Sep 1947.
Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council held in the Schoolroom, Longwick on Monday September 29th 1947. at 7.30pm. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. Payment of accounts. Repairs needed to Stile on Foot-path to Owlswick. Consideration of becoming affiliated to the National Association of Parish Councils. Present:- Councillors W. J. Harper (Chairman). D. M. Walker. D. Claydon. A. J. Goodchild F. Williams E. J. Girling H. W Lewis and the Clerk.
Minutes Minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed.
Accounts for payment Proposed by Councillor Lewis seconded by Councillor Williams that the following accounts be passed for payment:- Robert Bailey One Quarters Salary as Clerk to 29th Sept 1947 £1/5/- Refund of Cash paid for Audit Stamps 1945/46 a/c's 5/- 1946/47 a/c's 5/- Total Cheque £1/15/-. H. R. East, Employers Liability Insurance 10/-d. Carried.
Repairing of Stile on foot-path from Longwick to Owlswick Proposed by Councillor Girling seconded by Councillor Lewis that Mr G. H. Wickham of Anderdon Farm, Longwick, be asked to repair the Stile on the foot-path leading from Longwick to Owlswick. Carried.
Membership of the County of Buckingham Association of Parish Councils & Payment of 15/-d Membership Fee Consideration was given to becoming a member of the County of Buckingham Association of Parish Councils in affiliation with the National Association of Parish Councils. Proposed by Councillor F Williams seconded by Councillor H W Lewis that this Council apply for membership of the County of Buckingham Association of Parish Councils, Membership to date from the 1st October 1947 and that a Cheque for 15/-d be drawn in payment of half a years Subscription, for the period from 1st October 1947 to March 31st 1948. Carried
Financial Statements The Financial Statements of accounts for years 1945/46 and 1946/7 as certified by the District Auditor were placed before the meeting. W J Harper Dec 12
