Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 28th Apr 1947.

The Annual Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council was held in the Schoolroom, Longwick on Monday April 28th 1947 at 8 pm. To appoint a Chairman and Vice-Chairman for the ensuing year. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. Appointment of two Representatives to serve on the Valuation Committee of the Wycombe R.D. Council for the ensuing year. Letter re proposed County Association of Parish Councils for Buckinghamshire. Present:- Councillors W. J. Harper (Chairman) A. J. Goodchild, D. Claydon. F. Williams E. J. Girling. D. M. Walker and the Clerk (Mr Robert Bailey).

Chairman Proposed by Councillor. A. J. Goodchild, seconded by Councillor E. J. Girling, that Councillor William Joseph Harper be appointed Chairman for the ensuing year. Carried

Vice-Chairman Proposed by Councillor D. Claydon seconded by Councillor F. Williams that Councillor Albert James Goodchild be appointed Vice-Chairman for the ensuing year. Carried

Minutes The Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

Representatives on Valuation Committee Wycombe R.D.C. Proposed by Councillor D. M. Walker seconded by Councillor D. Claydon that Councillors F. Williams and A. J. Goodchild be re-appointed to serve as Representatives on the Valuation Committee of the Wycombe R.D. Council for the ensuing year. Carried.

Proposed County Association of Parish Councils A letter was read from the Regional Officer of the National Council of Social Service regarding the proposed formation of a County Association of Parish Councils for Buckingham, and inviting the Parish Council to send two representatives to a meeting which is being held at the Council Chamber, County Hall, Aylesbury on Saturday May 17th 1947 at 2.30pm. It was agreed that Councillors W. J. Harper and E. J. Girling attend the meeting. W J Harper June 30 /47
