Minutes The Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

Speed Limit The County Surveyor wrote with reference to suggested Speed Limit at Longwick, [inserted: from the junction of Summerleys Road to Anderdon Farm] stating that as no doubt the Council were aware an Order for a Speed Limit cannot be made without a favourable recommendation from the Chief Constable. He had been consulted and considers that a speed limit on this section of road is not justified, as no special circumstances have arisen since the matter was previously under consideration in 1938. He regretted therefore, that he could not submit the matter to his Committee.

Road signs near Red Lion Longwick The Acting Divisional Highways Surveyor replied re Road direction signs opposite the Red Lion, Longwick, stating that the direction arms which were taken down during the war, were of an obsolete type and were sold as scrap. He understood that Bucks County Council Standard signs will soon be available again, and he was therefore placing an order for new arms for the signpost at the "Red Lion" and they would be erected as soon as they arrive.

Parish Councils Association Councillor Harper reported re meeting at R.D. Council Offices High Wycombe respecting formation of Parish Councils Association, but as the delegates had no power to vote on the matter, the proposed resolution would be submitted to the Parish Council in due course.

Parish Constables Proposed by Councillor Lewis seconded by Councillor Girling that the out going Parish Constables be re-nominated, namely:- Messrs Fred Williams, Owen Goodchild, Harry Goodchild, Owen Tapping and Ernest Thomas Rutland. Carried
