Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 27th Apr 1942.
The Annual Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council was held in the Schoolroom, Longwick on Monday April 27th 1942. at 8 pm. To appoint a Chairman & Vice Chairman for the ensuing year. To read & confirm Minutes of last meeting. To appoint two Representatives to serve on the Rating and Valuation Committee of the Wycombe R.D.C. for the ensuing year. Present:- Councillors H. S. Pope (in the chair) F. Williams. A. J. Goodchild H. W. Lewis and Robert Bailey (Clerk)
Apology for absence Apology for absence received from Councillor Wm A. Walker.
Chairman and Vice Chairman Proposed by Councillor Lewis seconded by Councillor Williams, that Councillor Wm A. Walker be re-appointed Chairman and Councillor H. S. Pope, Vice Chairman for the ensuing Year. Carried
Minutes Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
Representatives on Rating & Valuation Authority Proposed by Councillor Lewis seconded by Councillor Pope that Councillors Fred Williams and Albert J. Goodchild be re-appointed to serve as Representatives on the Rating & Valuation Committee of the Wycombe Rural District Council for the ensuing year. Carried
Dangerous Well The attention of the Council was drawn to children playing with a Well at the rear of the Chapel, Longwick, and as it was feared there might be an accident, the Clerk was asked to write to the authorities concerned, asking them to arrange to have a lock fixed on the well cover.
