Electricity Charges Meadle The Aylesbury Borough Electrical Engineer wrote with reference to Electricity charges for supply of current to the Bungalows of Messrs E. T. Rutland and A. Keen at Meadle, that he had gone thoroughly into the matter of carrying the supply to the two premises and found that the erection of an extension of approximately 200 yards will be necessitated before a satisfactory supply can be given. As some capital expenditure would be involved in order to carry out the work, he was obliged to ask the consumers at the two premises each to pay the sum of £5 cash and each to guarantee to consume or pay for a minimum of £5 worth of electricity per annum for a period of five years. He was writing to Messrs Keen and Rutland informing them of the position as outlined above. The Clerk reported he had received no further communication from Messrs Keen and Rutland on the matter. It was therefore agreed that any further action by the Council, should stand over for the time being.
Land for Council Houses The Chairman reported that the Wycombe R.D. Council had decided to proceed with the purchase of land for the erection of additional Council Houses at Longwick. He proposed to recommend to the Council to consider the
erection of four houses of the usual type together with two of a smaller type for aged persons.
Stiles Ilmer As no information was before the meeting as to whether the Stiles referred to at the last meeting had been erected at Ilmer the matter was left over for enquiries.
