Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council held in the School, Longwick on Monday March 23rd 1936 at 7.15 pm. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. Payment of Accounts. Present:- Councillors H. S. Pope (in the chair) F. Williams, W. J. Harper. H. Rogers. A. J. Goodchild & Mr. Robert Bailey (Clerk)
Apology for absence Apology for absence received from Mr. Wm A. Walker.
Minutes Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
Repairs to foot path & foot bridge The question of repairs to foot path near the stile leading to Bledlow from the lane, near the Grove, Longwick, also minor repairs needed to a foot bridge at Owlswick, was considered. Proposed by Councillor A. J. Goodchild seconded by Councillor W. J. Harper, that Mr. Joseph Redrup of Longwick be asked to do the necessary repairs to the foot path and the foot-bridge. Carried
Parish Notice Board at Meadle The question of the need for a Parish Notice Board in the Hamlet of Meadle was raised, and after consideration, it was proposed by Councillor Williams seconded by Councillor Rogers that Messrs James Walker & Son, be asked to provide a Notice Board of a suitable size, to be inscribed "Parish Notices only" and to arrange for its to be fixed at Meadle. Permission to be obtained for fixing it on the property of Mr. H. Ives at Meadle. Carried
Payment of Accounts Proposed by Councillor Williams seconded by Councillor Goodchild, that Cheques be drawn in payment of the following accounts:- Robert Bailey, One Quarters Salary as Clerk to 25/3/36 £1/5/-. Postages (One year) 6/3d. Total Cheque £1/11/3. Correspondent Longwick C of E. School Donation for use of School for meetings 10/-d.
