Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 15th Jul 1935.
Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council held in the School, Longwick on Monday July 15th 1935 at 8 pm. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. Payment of accounts. To issue Precept upon the Rating Authority for General Expenses of the Parish Council. To consider the re. housing of the Tenants at the Parish Cottages Ilmer. Present:- Messrs Wm A. Apology Apology for absence received from Councillor A. J. Goodchild.
Minutes Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
Footpaths at Ilmer As the obstructions to foot paths at Ilmer had not yet been removed, the Clerk was asked to communicate again with Mr Douglas Goodchild on the matter.
Payment of Accounts Proposed by Councillor F. Williams seconded by Councillor H. S. Pope that Cheques be drawn in payment of the following accounts:- Wycombe R.D. Council Rates on Parish Cottages ½ year ending Sept 30th 1935 £1/12/3. Rupert East. Premium on Employers Liability Insurance 10/- Messrs Shaw & Sons Ltd Notices of Audit & Financial Statements. 6/3d Robert Bailey One Quarters Salary as Clerk to 24/6/35 £1/5/-. Audit Stamp 1934/5. 5/-. Harry H. Gomme. Repairs to Foot bridge at Ilmer. £2/17/6. Carried
Precept for General Expenses Proposed by Councillor F. Williams seconded by Councillor W. J. Harper that a Precept be issued upon the Rating Authority for £18 (Eighteen Pounds) for General Expenses of the Council payable on the 31st December 1935. Carried
Appointment of Treasurer in place of B. Freedurck Owing to the retirement of Mr Bernard Freedurck, Manager of Lloyds Bank Ltd, and Treasurer of the Council, it was proposed by Councillor H. S. Pope, seconded by
Councillor F. Williams, that Mr Walter Basil Finch, the new Manager of Lloyds Bank Ltd Princes Risborough be appointed to act as Treasurer to the Parish Council in place of Mr Bernard Freedurck. Carried
Housing of Tenants of Parish Cottages Ilmer Proposed by Councillor W. J. Harper seconded by Councillor H. Rogers that a recommendation be made to the Housing Committee of the Wycombe R.D. Council that the Houses to be erected to accommodate the present Tenants of the Parish Cottages at Ilmer (under the re-housing Scheme) be built at Longwick on a site adjoining the present Council Houses, as in the opinion of the Parish Council, there would be more likelihood of letting them in future years, than there would be if they were built at Ilmer.
