Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 15th Apr 1935.
The Annual Meeting of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council was held in the Schoolroom Longwick on Monday April 15th 1935 at 8 pm. To appoint a Chairman & Vice-Chairman for the ensuing year. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. To appoint two Representatives to serve on the Valuation Committee of the Wycombe R.D. Council for the ensuing Year. To receive Report re obstruction of foot path at Horsenden. To consider obstruction of foot paths at Ilmer. To consider Tender for repairs to Foot bridge at Ilmer. Payment of account. Present:- Councillors Wm A. Walker. E. J. Girling. A. J. Goodchild W. J. Harper. H. Rogers. H. S. Pope. F. Williams & Robert Bailey (Clerk).
Chairman Proposed by Councillor H. S. Pope. seconded by Councillor H. Rogers that Councillor Wm A. Walker be re-appointed Chairman for the ensuing Year. Carried
Vice Chairman Proposed by Councillor H. Rogers seconded by Councillor E. J. Girling, that Councillor H. S. Pope be appointed Vice-Chairman for the ensuing Year. Carried
Minutes Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
Representatives on Valuation Committee Proposed by Councillor Goodchild seconded by Councillor Pope that Councillor H. Rogers be appointed a representative to serve on the Valuation Committee of the R.D. Council for the ensuing year. Carried Proposed by Councillor Williams seconded by Councillor Girling that Councillor A. J. Goodchild be appointed a representative to serve on the Valuation Committee of the R.D. Council for the ensuing year. Carried
Foot path at Horsenden The Chairman reported than an inspection of the foot path at Horsenden had been made and Councillor Pope stated that no obstruction now existed, as the Field Gate was accessible to the public, and did not constitute an obstruction. Proposed by Councillor Williams seconded by Councillor Pope that the Clerk reply to the letter of Mr L. E. A. Jaques, to the effect that in the opinion of this Council no obstruction exists. Carried
Foot paths at Ilmer The question of the obstruction to foot paths at Ilmer was considered, and it was reported that owing to the enclosing of land by a barbed wire fence, the occupier had enclosed certain foot paths. Proposed by Councillor Girling seconded by Councillor Goodchild, that Mr Douglas Goodchild be written to, asking him to remove the fence across the paths and to insert proper stiles. Carried
Repairs to Foot bridge Ilmer A Tender was received from Mr Harry H. Gomme of Ilmer for repairing Foot bridge at Ilmer for £2/17/6. (Two pounds seventeen shillings and six pence) Proposed by Councillor Rogers seconded by Councillor Williams that the Tender be accepted. Carried
Payment of account Proposed by Councillor Pope seconded by Councillor Goodchild that a Cheque be drawn for 5/- in payment of Hire of Village Hall, Longwick for Parish Meetings. Carried July 15th 1935 Wm A Walker
