Vestry Meeting Minutes
April 5th 1932. The Combined meeting of the Vestry & the P.C.C. meeting was held on this date at Ilmer House, by kind invitation of Mr Goodchild. Present, the Vicar, Mr Goodchild, Mr W.J. Harper (churchwardens), Mrs A.M. Berry & Miss Ada Stone.
The Minutes of the meetings on Ap.14. 1931 & Jan 10. 1932 were read approved & signed. The Balance sheet was read & it showed a balance in hand at the end of the year 1931 of £4-16-9.

Peoples Warden. A M Berry, Vicar. W. J. Harper.
The vicar reported that he was glad to say that Mr Goodchild had consented to act again as his warden & the meeting unanimously reelected Mr Harper as Peoples warden. The Vicar thanked the Parishioners for their generous Easter Offering & he also thanked Mr & Mrs Goodchild for supplying the flowers for the altar & the War Memorial throughout the year. The Vicar pointed out that Horsenden supplied the whole of the Quota to the O.D.F. & suggested that Ilmer should contribute the collections on one Sunday in each quarter to this object & this was agreed to.
Some discussion about the electric light followed & on the proposal of Mr Harper the Vicar undertook to write strongly to the Aylesbury Corporation urging them to install a slot metre in the church (they had previously refused to do this). The Poor attendance at the Good Friday lantern service was commented on & the Vicar mentioned that the number of communicants on Easter Day was the largest for many years. On the proposal of Mr Harper a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Goodchild for inviting the meeting to his house.
