Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Meeting on 29th Mar 1967.

ANNUAL PARISH MEETING HELD IN LONGWICK VILLAGE HALL WEDNESDAY MARCH 29TH 1967 at 7.30.

Present. Cllrs Brock, Thomas, Leuw, Tapping & Gomme. Absent. Apologies for absence Cllrs Angus, & Walker. Minutes Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed.

Ilmer Sign & Thame Rd. Mr Lane referred to the sign for Ilmer was not prominently placed, and that the Thame Rd between the Saw Mills and the sewerage pumping station was very uneven. With ref to Ilmer sign this item had been raised at a previous meeting and Mr Nobbs informed. The unevenness of the Thame Rd was thought to be Messrs Clancys responsibility due to sinking after sewerage excavations.

Sewerage Scheme Chairman Mrs Brock informed the meeting that notices would shortly be sent out in preparation for connections on this scheme.

Mud on Road. The meeting was informed that tractors in the Ilmer area were leaving the road covered in mud, in the eyes of the law this is an offence but a letter to farmers in the village asking for their co-operation with the council was proposed by Cllr Leuw. See Cllr Gomme. Carried.

Plaque for The late Mr Harper The Village Hall Committee Members put forward a suggestion that the parish council would consider a donation to their proposal of a plaque to the memory of Mr Harper. Cllr Leuw proposed sec. Cllr Gomme that this matter should pass to the general meeting. Carried Meeting closed 7.55 p.m. Dorothy Brock 25/3/68.
