Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Meeting on 29th Apr 1946.

A Parish Meeting was held in the Village Hall, Longwick, on Monday April 29th 1946. at 8 pm. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. To consider what steps shall be taken regarding Victory Celebrations on June 8th 1946. Present:- Councillors F. Williams (Chairman) A. J. Goodchild, H. W. Lewis, W. J. Harper. E. J. Girling D. M. Walker. D. Claydon. Mr. Owen Goodchild and R. Bailey (Clerk)

Minutes The Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

No action to be taken regarding Victory Celebrations After a discussion it was Proposed by Councillor W. J. Harper, seconded by Councillor E. J. Girling that in view of the lack of any enthusiasm shown by the General Public regarding any form of Victory Celebrations that no action be taken by this meeting. Carried Fred Williams 31/3/47
