Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Meeting on 5th Sep 1938.
Parish Meeting held in the Schoolroom, Longwick, on Monday September 5th 1938 at seven oclock. pm. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. For the purpose of giving the consent of the Meeting to the sale of the Parish property at Ilmer. Present:- Messrs Wm A. Walker (Chairman) Herbert. S. Pope Albert James Goodchild, Wm Joseph Harper, Fred Williams Edward John Girling Herbert. Wm Lewis, Harry Goodchild, and Robert Bailey. Clerk.
Sale of Parish Property Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed. Proposed by Mr. Herbert. S. Pope seconded by Mr Edward John Girling, "That this meeting do consent to the sale of the following property viz:. Land and three cottages known as 'Close End Cottages' situate in the village of Ilmer, under the provisions of the Local Government Act, 1933, and of any other statutes in that behalf, subject to such Order as the Minister of Health shall issue touching such sale and the application of the produce thereof. Carried unanimously
Footpath Sign Ilmer The Clerk was asked to communicate with the Divisional Highways Surveyor respecting a Foot path Sign which had been erected near the Parish Cottages in error, asking him to arrange for its removal, to the proper foot-path entrance at Mr Douglas Goodchild's lower farm. Wm A Walker
