ANNUAL PARISH MEETING 1938 The Annual Parish Meeting was held in the Schoolroom, Longwick on Monday March 28th 1938 at 7 pm. To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting. Consideration of any matters which may be brought before the meeting. Consideration of Sale of Parish Cottages and land at Ilmer. Present:- Messrs Wm A. Walker (Chairman) H. S. Pope. H. W Lewis, F. Williams W. J. Harper. E. J. Girling A. J. Goodchild, A. T. Turner and Robert Bailey (Clerk)

Speed Limit of 30 miles The question of a 30 mile Speed Limit through Longwick was raised by Mr Turner and after a discussion, Mr W. J. Harper proposed and Mr Fred Williams seconded that application be made to the County Surveyor for the establishing of a Speed Limit of 30 miles between a point near the bottom of the Summerleys Road and a point below Anderdons Farm, Longwick. Carried

Disposal of Parish Cottages and land belonging thereto at Ilmer by means of a Sale The question of the disposal of the old Parish Cottages at Ilmer together with the land belonging thereto, was considered. Mr. H. S Pope proposed and Mr. H. W. Lewis seconded "That this meeting consents to the Parish Council disposing of the old Parish Cottages at Ilmer with the land belonging thereto, by means of a sale, subject to any instructions which may be given by the Minister of Health, and the consent of the Minister of Health to a sale having been obtained.
