Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council Meeting held School room Monday 24th July 1961
Present Councillors Harper Walker Tappin Gomme Apology for absence received from Councillor Claydon and Mrs Brock.
Minutes Mins of last meeting were read and confirmed, matters arising dealt with
Resignation A letter of resignation was read from Vice chairman D Claydon and it was regretfully decided that this must be accepted. The question of a successor to Mr Claydon was left in abeyance
Consolidated Stock Holdings The clerk reported, that in accordance with the Auditors instructions a careful search had been made for the Certificate of the Parish Councils Holdings in Consolidated Stock without success. The letter received from the Bank of England requesting this certificate was read. It was proposed by Cllr Walker and seconded by Cllr Gomme that the clerk should take steps to obtain a duplicate certificate as soon as possible Carried
Clerks Bond The question of the lapsed Clerks Bond was discussed and it was proposed by Cllr Walker and seconded by Cllr Tappin that no useful purpose would be served by renewing it at this time Carried
Finance The payment of the following accounts was approved by the Council Clerks Salary, April, May, June 1961 £3-0-0 Postage 6/3, Stationery 5/6 Ocean Insurance 5/- County of Bucks Parish Councils Assoc £2-8-0
Post Box The clerk was instructed to write to the Post Master Aylesbury and remind him of the growing need for a Post Box between the Duke of Wellington and the Sportsman Garage Longwick
