Minutes of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council on 4th Jun 1959.

Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council meeting held 7-30 pm 4th June 59 Schoolroom Longwick

Present Chairman C Harper C Claydon C Walker C Williams C Tappin

Mins Minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed

Meadle Pond It was proposed by C Walker seconded by C Claydon that the clerk should write to Mr Nobbs Road Surveyor regarding the Parish pond at Meadle, also pointing out possible dangers of drain from Haseltine cow shed to road Carried

War Mem It was agreed that the clerk should write to Mrs Richardson School House Longwick and convey the councils thanks for her efforts in cleaning up the War memorial C Walker and C Harper very generously agreed to share the cost of paint purchased to re paint railings around the memorial

Charities It was agreed after discussion that the question of Monks Risboro Charity should be left in abeyance until the next meeting

Finance It was proposed by C Walker and seconded by C Williams that the following accounts be paid Clerks salary due 24th June £3-0-0 10/- Audit Stamp 10/- Room Rent Carried

Election of officers It was proposed by C Tappin and seconded by C Walker that C Harper and C Claydon should continue as Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively
