Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

On Thursday March 21st a parish meeting was held in the Parish Room. There were present Messrs A. Hill. D. Cook, Belgrove, Goodchild Gomme. & F. Kingham and Rev J.E. Varley (Chairman). On the proposition of Mr. Gomme seconded by Mr. A. Hill, Messrs Belgrove & Cook were re-appointed overseers.

On the proposal of Mr. Belgrove seconded by Mr. Cook, Messrs F. Kingham & T. Goodchild were re-appointed Constables. The Rev J. Varley was on the proposition of Mr. Belgrove seconded by Mr. Hill reappointed Chairman. Mr. Belgrove thought that £4 would be an equitable assessment of Mr Gomme's new house. Mr. Hill seconded the suggestion. Mr Belgrove proposed & Mr Hill seconded that a sleeper bridge (consisting of about a dozen sleepers) be made across the old ford at Cold Harbour The details to be left in the hands of the Overseers.
