Councillors duly elected As there were only seven nominations for the seven seats on the Council the Chairman declared the following persons duly elected as Councillors. David Claydon, Edward John Girling, Albert James Goodchild, William Joseph Harper, Herbert Wm Lewis, Dora Mary Walker and Fred Williams.
Chairman's remarks and thanks for his services The Chairman remarked that he had served as a Parish Councillor for upwards of 22 years and he now felt that an opportunity should be given for another to take his place. Mr. W. J. Harper in thanking the Chairman for his services said he had been their Chairman of the Longwick-cum-Ilmer Parish Council for 12 years, during which time he had served the Council faithfully and had led the younger members along the right way. They owed a great debt to Mr Walker for his work in the Parish. It was a consolation
to know that he was their representative on the Bucks County Council and he felt that in any difficulty which the Parish Council might experience in the future, that Mr Walker would do all he could to help them over the difficulty. Mr Walker in thanking the meeting said he had always done the best he could and wished the new Councillors every success. Wm A Walker
