Parish Council Minutes
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, 2nd FEBRUARY, 1976 AT LONGWICK C.E. COMBINED SCHOOL.
Present: Mr. W.G. Underwood (In the Chair), Mrs. D. Brock, Messrs. H.C. Restall, T.G.T. Taylor, B.E. Thomas and J. Walker. Miss J.H.C. Couper was also present.
Minutes: The Minutes of the meeting held on Monday, 10th November 1975, which had been circulated, were agreed and signed.
Apologies An apology for absence was received from Mr. L.E. Metcalfe.
Matters arising from the Minutes: (a) Bridleway, Manor Farm, Ilmer. Mr. Underwood reported that Mr. Mullan had not yet reinstated the bridleway; he just did not seem to realise the implications. Mr. Underwood undertook to raise the matter once again, but if this failed to get any response then it was agreed that formal action should be taken through the Bursar of Eton College.
(b) Bell Crescent, J. Needham. The Clerk reported the latest position in this case, namely that J. Needhams had appealed against the enforcement order. The District Council had put forward certain proposals to Needhams, which it was hoped they would accept and thereby withdraw the appeal. The proposals included that Needhams start building on the land in question within six months. If the buildings were not finished at the end of this period then a further extension of three months would be allowed after which time the building materials and huts must be removed. If building does not commence within six months then further action would be taken by the District Council. The Planning Office had undertaken to keep the Parish Council informed of development.s
(c) Elm Trees, Ilmer. It was reported that these trees were on the roadside and were therefore the responsibility of the County. As they were close to power and telephone lines, as well as a danger to The Old Vicarage, it was agreed to ask the Highway Authority to take urgent action.
Planning Applications: The following applications had been received since the date of the last meeting: 3125/75 Erection of garage at The Grove, Thame Road. No comments. 3161/75 Demolition of existing garage, erection of new garage and conservatory at Hamilton, Longwick Road. No comments. 3215/75 Extension to garage and internal alterations at 36 Bell Crescent. No comments. 3272/75 Rear extension to form storm porch at 8 Bell Crescent. No comments. 3507/75 Erection of porch at The Grove, Thame Road. Commented important that the brick and timber work be in keeping with the existing house. Dependent upon the Planning Officer's views we felt that the roofing involved should be in keeping with the present main roof and not be covered in roofing felt. 169/76 Extension to dwelling at Silvretta, Gomme Mill. No comments.
Roy Cutler Homes Ltd: It was reported that Roy Cutler Homes have appealed against a decision of Wycombe District Council who had refused planning permission for the erection of 66 detached houses and garages at Bell Farm, Chestnut Way,
