Minutes Minutes of the last meeting read and confirmed.

Revised Map & Statement The clerk read a letter from the County Surveyor calling for the return of Revised map and statements, which apparently had been over looked, but had now been returned.

Footpaths A letter was handed in by Cllr Gomme complaining that the stile at Longwick Mill end of footpath No 3. was broken and in need of repair also that the footpath had been ploughed up and planted right to the edge of the stream, the same applied to footpath No 4. starting from the post office end, no footpath could be found for wheat. Cllr Wootton also put forward that the bridge crossing a small stream on footpath No 17 was in need of repair.

Meadle Pond The clerk read a letter from the Divisional Surveyor, re a complaint from Mr Phillips of Bank Farm Meadle that growth of Willow trees is obstructing the vision of the bend proceeding the main road. Cllr Walker suggested someone should approach Mrs Hamilton Jenkins on this

matter. Mr Harper said he would personally visit Mrs Hamilton Jenkins and see if she would undertake to remove two of the trees.

Street Names It was stated that Lower Icknield Way and Thame Rd were still without street signs, the clerk was instructed to make enquiries to see if these signs were going to be erected.

Post Box Cllr Wootton suggested that the post box opposite the Saw Mills would be better suited on the other side of the road, as the box is very near to the side of the road it makes posting a letter dangerous.

Piping of Ditches A suggestion by Cllr Wootton that the ditch from the White Horse public house down the village should be piped as was done from the Three Pigeons, as after heavy rain one had to walk on the road owing to the path being muddy & full of puddles.

Sign for Ilmer Church It was argued about the necessity of a sign directing people to Ilmer church, the clerk read a letter of refusal on the matter dated 14th April 61. Cllr Leuw pointed out that the church was 12th Century and could be of interest to people touring the country

side, who otherwise would not know it is there as it is not visible from the main road.

Gipsy's It was stated by Cllr Tapping that gipsy's were along the lane from Owlswick to Ilmer but as the police were making enquiries it was decided to let the matter rest.
