The Chairman announced that as he and Councillor Ancliffe went to the last meeting, they were prepared to attend this meeting.

Lighting. The Clerk read a letter and questionnaire regarding Street Lighting received from the Wycombe Rural District Council. After a lengthy and carefully considered discussion it was proposed by Councillor Ancliffe and seconded by Councillor Williams that the Clerk should inform the R.D.C. that the Parish Council consider Street Lighting to be needed but before committing themselves it would be necessary to have the approval of the Parish meeting in March; the reason for needing lighting being that it would enable the thirty mile speed limit to be imposed; that the Council consider the cost of street lighting should be a general district charge by means of a uniform levy throughout the rural district; that the street lighting is needed along the main Longwick road. This was carried unanimously.

Footpaths The Council instructed the clerk to write to the Surveyor asking that a footpath should be constructed from the school to the Parish Hall, for

the benefit of the Scholars, and that his attention be drawn to the shocking condition of the footpath from The Three Pigeons to the end of the village.
