Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

1928 February 28th The Annual Parish Meeting was held in the Parish Room, Illmire on Tuesday February 28th 1928 at 7 pm.

To appoint a Chairman for the ensuing year.
To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting.
To nominate Parish Constables for the ensuing year.
To pass accounts.
Any other business.

Present:- Messrs Albert Goodchild (Chairman) Fritz William Kingham. George Gomme Charles Belgrove and Robert Bailey (Clerk)

Proposed by Mr George Gomme seconded by Mr Fritz Wm Kingham that Mr. Albert Goodchild be re-appointed Chairman for the ensuing year. Carried

Agreed that the outgoing Parish Constables be re-nominated namely:- Messrs Fritz William Kingham and Harry Goodchild.

Proposed by Mr Fritz Wm Kingham seconded by Mr George Gomme that the accounts as paid to date be passed as correct:- namely:- Messrs Shaw & Sons Ltd. Financial Statements, Receipt and Payment Book 15/-. Wycombe R.D Council Rates half year ending September 30th 1927 £2/0/3. Mrs Amy Williams 2nd Instalment Tax 1926/7 10/6. Messrs Parrott & Coales Fire Insurance (Cottages) 15/-. Wm Chapman. Thatching Parish Cottages £7. Treasurer Cheques 10d. and that the Treasurer be authorised to pay the following accounts as soon as the Rents of the Cottages due March 25th 1928 have been received, namely:- Wycombe R.D Council Rates half year ending March 31st 1928 £1/14/7. Mrs Amy Williams Sch A Tax on Cottages for year 1927/8 £1/1/-. Robert Bailey One years remuneration as Clerk to March 31st 1928 £1/1/-. Carried

The Clerk was instructed to write to the Rural District Council requesting them to patch the road leading from Illmire to Cold Harbour Farm and pointing out that the meeting were of an opinion the work should be done by the R.D.C. as they had repaired the road in former years, also to write to Messrs Burrows & Bradfield of Thame, (Agents) asking them to take the necessary steps to have the stiles repaired leading across the fields from Cold Harbour Farm to Bledlow on the property of Mr Peacock.
