Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

The Annual Parish Meeting was held in the Parish Room, Illmire on Thursday March 1st 1923 at 7.30 pm.

To appoint a Chairman for the ensuing year.
To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting.
To appoint Two Overseers of the Poor for the ensuing year.
To make out a list of men liable and qualified to serve the office of Parish Constables for the ensuing year.
To pass accounts.

Present:- The Revd. Wm M Tuke, Messrs A. Hill, G. Gomme. William Kingham. William Claydon & Fritz Wm Kingham.

Proposed by Mr. A. Hill seconded by Mr. Fritz William Kingham that the Revd. W. M Tuke be re-elected Chairman for the ensuing year. Carried

The Minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed.

Proposed by Mr. George Gomme seconded by Mr. William Kingham that Messrs Frederick Ward and Fritz William Kingham be appointed Overseers of the Poor for the ensuing year. Carried

Proposed by Mr. Alfred Hill seconded by Mr George Gomme that Messrs Harry Goodchild and Fritz William Kingham be nominated to serve as Parish Constables for the ensuing year. Carried

Proposed by the Revd. W. M Tuke seconded by Mr George Gomme that the accounts of the Parish Meeting for the past year be passed as correct. Carried.

Proposed by Revd Wm M Tuke seconded by Mr George Gomme The Clerk be instructed to obtain an Estimate for repairs to Chimneys and Floors of the Parish Cottages and if the Estimate does not exceed £5 that he be empowered to have the necessary repairs carried into effect.
