Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

A Parish Meeting was held in the Parish Room Illmire on Monday February 28th 1921 at 6.30 pm.

To elect a Chairman for the ensuing year.
To read and confirm Minutes of last meeting.
To appoint two Overseers of the Poor for the ensuing year.
To appoint a Treasurer to the Parish Meeting.
To pass accounts.
To make out a list of men liable and qualified to serve the office of Parish Constables for the ensuing year.
Any other Parish business.

Present:- The Revd Wm O'Connor, Messrs William Kingham, Fritz William Kingham, Thomas Goodchild George Gomme, Thomas Bradshaw William Claydon and John B. Bailey (Assistant Overseer)

Proposed by Mr. Thomas Goodchild seconded by Mr. Thomas Bradshaw that The Revd William Magee Tuke be appointed Chairman for the ensuing year. Carried Unan:

The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

Proposed by Mr. George Gomme seconded by Mr. Thomas Goodchild that Messrs Frederick Ward and Thomas Bradshaw of Illmire be appointed Overseers of the Poor for the ensuing year Carried.

Proposed by Mr. George Gomme seconded by Mr. Thomas Goodchild that Mr. Bernard Frederick, Bank Manager, Princes Risborough be appointed Treasurer to the Parish Meeting. Carried Unan:

Proposed by Mr Fritz William Kingham seconded by Mr. Wm Kingham that the accounts of the Parish Meeting for the past year be passed as correct. Carried

Proposed by Mr Thomas Bradshaw seconded by Mr. Wm Claydon that the outgoing Constables namely:- Messrs Thomas Goodchild and Fritz William Kingham be re-appointed. Carried.

Proposed by Mr. William Claydon seconded by Mr. Thomas Bradshaw that the Assistant Overseer write to the Clerk of the Board of Guardians with respect to the appointment of a representative for the Parish of Illmire.
