Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

1919. A Parish Meeting was held in the Parish Room, Illmire, on the 28th of February, 1919.

There were present - the Rev. W. O'Connor (in the chair), Mr. Thomas Goodchild, Mr. Albert Goodchild, Mr. Alfred Hill, Mr. George Gomme, and Mr. Fritz W. Kingham.

The Minutes of last Meeting were read and confirmed.

Proposed by Mr. Albert Goodchild, seconded by Mr. Alfred Hill, that the Rev. W. O'Connor be elected Chairman for the ensuing year. This was agreed to.

Proposed by Mr. A. Goodchild, seconded by Mr. F. W. Kingham, that Mr. John B. Bailey be appointed Assistant Overseer at a salary not exceeding £6-6/- (six guineas). Passed nem. con.

Agreed that the payment to Assistant Overseer for travelling expenses be five shillings per journey.

The Rev. W. O'Connor and Mr. A. Goodchild were re-elected Overseers on the motion of Mr. T. Goodchild, seconded by Mr. G. Gomme.

Mr. T. Goodchild and Mr. F. W. Kingham were re-appointed Parish Constables on the motion of Mr. A. Goodchild, seconded by Mr. A. Hill.

Mr. Albert Goodchild proposed that Mr. G. Gomme be requested to examine Mr. W. Kingham's cottage and report on its condition to the Overseers. This was seconded by Rev. W. O'Connor and passed.

The proceedings then terminated.
