Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

A meeting was held on Mar 6th 1915 at 6.30 p'clock in the Parish Room Ilmer.

There were present the Rev H.M. Gorham, chairman, Messrs Thomas Goodchild, G. Gomme, W. Hill W. Claydon. FW. Kingham.

The Minutes of the last Meeting were read. Arising out of the minute, Mr Hill said that the loads of earth had not been put in.

Mr F Kingham pointed out that one of the Bridge had given way & proposed that Mr Walker be written to and requested to make it good. This was seconded by Mr Thom. Goodchild.

Mr Hill proposed a new bridge to be made at Robertson's ditch. Seconded by Mr G. Gomme. and bottom of the Platts, and Mr Walker of Longwick be asked to make an estimate for the work to the overseers.

The Rev H.M. Gorham suggested that it be brought to notice of the overseers that the work proposed to the closet at Close Cottages has not been done This met with the approval of the meeting.

Mr Gomme proposed Mr Th. Goodchild seconded that Messrs Albert Goodchild & A. Hill be overseers for ensuing year. Rev H.M. Gorham proposed Mr FW. Kingham and Mr T Goodchild seconded. Mr A. Hill, expressed his wish not to take office again. Agreed.

Proposed by Rev H.M. Gorham seconded Mr G. Gomme that Messrs Thos Goodchild and FW. Kingham be elected parish Constables for the ensuing year.

Proposed by Mr Thom Goodchild, seconded by Mr Gomme that Rev H.M. Gorham be chairman for ensuing year.

Mr Hill withdrew his proposition above about the new Bridges as it seems that that would make a public path.
