Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

A Parish Meeting was held on Wednesday March 23rd 1910 in the Parish Room Ilmer.

Mr Geo Kingham proposed and Mr. A. Hill seconded that the Rev. J. Varley should be re-appointed Chairman which was carried unanimously.

The Parish Accounts were presented by the overseers and accepted.

On the proposition of Mr Alfred Hill seconded by Mr Gomme Mr. Geo Kingham was appointed Overseer.

On the proposition of Mr. Goodchild seconded by Mr Belgrove Mr. F. W. Kingham was appointed Overseer.

Mr. Thos Goodchild and Mr F. W. Kingham were appointed constables.

It was proposed & carried that the Chairman be requested to write to the Surveyor asking that the roadway be widened and improved, and the ditch be piped from the ditch as the pond between the house of Mr Geo Kingham & the Church at Ilmer.

It was proposed that the offer of Mr Geo Kingham to place a footbridge near his house if it be accepted with thanks, and that the amount be raised by voluntary contribution.

It was proposed that the overseers be at their discretion be empowered to improve the Parish Cottages provided that the rents of the Cottages be increased if 1/- per week & that the outlay on the cottages be not more

Mr Hill proposed that Geo. Kingham seconded that the rent of the parish cottages be from Michaelmas next be 1/- per week each & notice being given to the tenant to that effect. Carried.
