Ilmer Parish Meeting Minutes

On Monday March 26th 1901 at 7 O'Clock in the Evening a Parish Meeting was held at the house of Mr. James Burnham for the purpose of appointing a Chairman for the ensuing year and appointing two Overseers. On the motion of Mr. Belgrove seconded by Mr. Hill the Rev. J.E. Varley was re-appointed Chairman for the ensuing year. On the motion of Mr. Belgrove seconded by Mr. Hill Messrs Kingham and Goodchild were re-appointed Overseers.

Mr. Gomme proposed and Mr Belgrove seconded that the Chairman should be empowered to ascertain who is liable to repair the foot bridge at Cold Harbour, and that if the Parish Meeting is liable & has the power to do so, that the bridge be repaired at the expense of the parish: and that the method of carrying out this scheme be left to the discretion of the Overseers.
